Ocelot (Leopardus pardalis)



 
1.What kind of animal is it? (mammal, bird, etc.)
it's a Mammal animal

 2.Why do you like this animal?
Because the ocelot is like a cat, but only this cats are more wild and I like very much its pink nose, its beatiful eyes and its colors.

3.Why is this animal important in the animal kingdom? 
Because they be part of the ecosistem, and the are of the few felines in South America.

4.Is this animal an endangered species?
Yes, they are endangered.  
Ocelots are protected in the United States and most other countries where they live.

 5.Mention 5 facts about this animal. 
 -These largely nocturnal cats 
- has very good vision, including night vision
- they do not avoid water and can swim well
- live in South American rain forests and can be found as far north as Texas
- These cats can adapt to human habitat,  for example Salvador Dalí frequently traveled with his pet ocelot Babou.
